Based on BIOS and BACS, BioChem carries out Bioprocess Intelligent Optimization System II (BIOS II) to meet the requirement of severe nitride and phosphorus discharge standard.

Target

BioChem BIOS II is focusing on nitride and phosphorus remove rate in WWTP by using scientific algorithm and intelligent control, the target of the system is to guarantee the discharge quality with the minimum energy and chemical input.

Function Description

BIOS II is an intelligent expert system with the combine function of process optimization and procedure control. System adopts the principle of real-time track of ammonia feed forward and backward, analyzes online instruments’ data, laboratory data and target discharge quality with IWA process module, historical database and expert database, finally works out the online control parameters such as DO, IRQ and Carbon Dosing Rate and then takes the control of related units such as aeration units, IRQ units and carbon dosing units to complete the full sequence.

Function Description of Process Optimization and Procedure Control:

1. System is based on IWA ASM module.
2. System will calculate individual DO setpoints in aeration zone.
3. System can adjust and limit the actual DO value within ±0.3mg/L of DO setpoint by means of the precise control over blower airflow and position of air valve.
4. The calculated IRQ by the system can fulfill the requirement of denitrification and also can avoid high concentration of nitrate in second sedimentation tank.
5. For those plants which have a need of carbon dosing, system will give out an optimized carbon dosing rate with the reference of the nitrate concentration and the DNR of the sludge to balance the carbon cost and the standard of discharge.
6. System is configured with process alarm, process recovery, data storage and intelligent self-learning/estimation function.
