Process optimization technology aims at optimizing operation parameters, improving effluent quality and increasing daily capacity more 10～30% without any infrastructure investment. The general procedure includes collecting a lot of operation data, establishing mathematical model basing on ASM2D (developed by International Water Association), determining the optimal parameters and finally putting forward the scenario.

For the newly-built wastewater treatment plants, the design planning can be verified by model. It helps the constructors and design institutes to optimize their design and process, save construction fare and lower the operation cost.
